so much of my life is composed of distracting myself so i don't have to focus on loneliness. tv, drugs, etc. if i could actively change my situation i would, but i'm tired of failure. so i just let my eyes glaze and feel the world wash gently over me.
luckily classes start back up tomorrow. i'm sure that excitement will wane shortly too of course.

for the past week i've felt horrible inside. not a health issue i think, just stress and confusion. i've been jittery, nervous, and i've barely been able to sleep. all of this pervaded with such a sense of lacking. i would have called it depression had my body not been so constantly awake and distracted. anyway, at some point in this the answer came to me, in the form of having sharp things pushed through my face. the result has me feeling calm, collected, and peaceful. we'll see if it lasts, but regardless, i'm very happy i did it.
